A Quick Update: Wedding Planning in the Bay Area

I know that I’ve been M.I.A. for the past month. It’s easy for me to blame my recent proposal — especially since that’s what’s been consuming my life right now. I’m sure it goes without saying, but I’m going to say it anyway: wedding planning is so stressful! Thankfully, Reggie and I had a chance to make giant leaps forward in the planning process today. We trekked all over the Bay Area for a few reception site visits and a meet-and-greet with one of the most talented (and coolest) photographers we managed to find on Google: from Walnut Creek to Bay Street Emeryville to Philz Coffee in China Basin. We topped off the day with an early birthday dinner at Sushi Ran in Sausalito, and I feel like we’re finally in a good place with the wedding planning. After a few weeks of stress and tears and near-constant fights with my fiancée and parents alike, we’ve pretty much solidified the reception site, the date, and the photographer… So let the fun stuff begin!
